Just 9 more days till Christmas. James and Heather are going to Vermont leaving on December 21, so on the 17th we will have them over and share Christmas blessings.
I listened to a audio clip of the song "The Wonder of it all" several days ago, and was truly blessed.

2006 events
This year has gone fast. The Lord has been good to us. We have had several friends from California to visit us, namely the Dean Hallbergs, Leslie Ball and Richard Mattish's. It was a answer to prayer that I went under low back surgery and it was successful. Now I don't have to use the walker and some with the cane. I still have problems but much better.

Christmas
One gift I still have from my childhood is a ceramic horse from my Grandma Kliewer. It was the Christmas of 1943.
One memory I recall when I was a teenager, was the caroling we did. We would have the Christmas eve program at church, then at midnight we would gather and plan where we would go. It was cold, but we enjoyed it. We would mostly go to farm homes. Some people would wake up and invite us in for hot choclate, candy, or cookies. We would do this until about dawn. Even tho sleepy and tired, we would manage to make it to Christmas service in the church. One year I ate so much Almond Joy's I got sick. Didn't want anymore Almond Joy's for a long time. More later.
